Commissioners Meet

Walker County Commissioners will get together for a regular meeting at the courthouse at nine this morning.

Today’s “Consent Agenda” includes approval of a 12th and 278th District Court Order for salary and another allowance to the Walker County Auditor and Assistants, approval of 12th and 278th Judicial District Court orders for salaries for Court Reporters.  The same agenda also includes approval of purchase for Dell computers through the Department of Information Resources, and a large number of bids and contract renewals.

This morning Mark Edwards from the Special Prosecution Unit will discuss for approval a resolution on “Prosecution of Prison Crime” and a contract between the Comptroller of Public Accounts and Walker County.

The Purchasing Department will discuss with Commissioners not renewing a bid for tree cutting, removal, and disposal with various vendors due to County personnel performing this service.  Purchasing will also discuss approval of renovation to Annex #3 to prevent water penetration, various contracts, and the approval of a large number of bids

At two this afternoon, Commissioners’ Court  will meet in their courtroom to approve an order amending the pay classification salary group ranges for minimum salary to reflect a 3% increase effective September 3rd, 2013.
