Thirty-seven-year-old Jefferey Demond Williams, convicted of killing a Houston police officer in 1999, was executed at the Walls Unit Wednesday.
Williams shot and killed 39-year-old police officer Troy Blando while he was trying to handcuff him during an undercover auto theft shift in Houston.
Outside the Walls Unit Wednesday, several law enforcement officers from the Thin Blue Line Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club revved their engines.
Williams was pronounced dead at 6:36 PM. He is the sixth inmate to be executed in the state this year.
