At the Huntsville City Council session Tuesday, Director of Community and Economic Development Aron Kulhavy updated everyone on improvements to the Bruce Brothers Huntsville Regional Airport.
He said, “With these projects, 90 percent are funded by the FAA and TxDOT. The City only picks up 10 percent.” Kulhavy began with comments on projects that were ongoing for the fiscal year 2011-12 . . . . .
Airport improvement for 2013, includes apron reconstruction, drainage improvements, runway sealcoat and marking, taxiway sealcoat and marking, and a wildlife fence.
For fiscal year 2014 and beyond, they’ve planned some taxiway reconstruction, weather station relocation, runway repairs and overlay, and an update of the airport master plan.
