At last night’s regular session of the Huntsville City Council, councilmembers discussed the first reading of a proposal to change the Development Code in regard to lot standards. This is in reference to changes recommended in special cases of development that don’t meet the regular guidelines of the code’s lot standards.
A lot size minimum of five acres and other provisions for the proposed Planned Development District has been suggested by the City.
Charter Review Committe member Charles Smither, Jr., and Jim Willett raised some issues in regard to the proposal.
Councilmember James Fitch commented about the ordinance amending the Development Code . . . .
The council will look at the issue again at their next meeting.
