Published on August 13, 2013 by Larry Crippen

Walker County Clerk Kari French addressed Commissioners’ Court Monday morning updating commissioners on the the 83rd Legislature’s bills affecting the County Clerk’s office.

Ms. French filled the court in on various state fees and said that House Bill 1513 allows the County “to authorize the County Clerk to increase the Records Managment Preservation fee and Records Archive fee from $5 to no more than $10.” She said, “It is a user fee. It is an alternative to raising taxes.”

The fee will be beneficial to the County Clerk’s office . . . .

FRENCH#1-8-12-13

Comissioners approved the fee increases which will take effect September 1, 2013 and expire in 2019.
