County Commissioners Meet Today

Walker County Commissioners will meet for a regular session at the Courthouse at nine this morning.

They will receive several deparment reports including a Jail Construction Update, an Information Technology Status Report, and a County Clerk Summary Progress Report for January 2013 and County Clerk Warrant Update.

Precinct #4 Constable Gene Bartee will discuss approval of the purchase of a cabinet to replace one destroyed during a break-in.

Quentin Russell from the District Attorney’s office will discuss approval of a Walker County Building Use Policy.

Purchasing Agent Mike Williford will discuss using Terracon Engineering to analyze and provide a solution to prevent water seepage at the Planning and Development Building to be paid from contingency funds for $5,000 dollars.

Evan Roberson will make a presentation on Tri-County Services. Rachel Williford will have a presentation regarding the Senior Center. And, Commissioners will discuss approving an order on “Redistricting.”
