At the close of last week, law enforcement authorities were interviewing relatives of 55-year-old Shanta Faye Crawford who–along with her 18-month-old grandson, Aidyen Benjamin Lewis–died in a double murder in Huntsville last Wednesday.
No names of suspects have as of yet been released, neither has the way in which the two victims were killed.
An extensive crime scene investigation of the home on M. Williams Road was completed last week. The Walker County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Rangers, and DPS continue their investigation outside the home.
They have been checking into the possibility that recent burglaries in the area of the crime might be related.
Otherwise, they are asking for assistance from the public. Anyone that may have information that would help in the murder investigation is asked to call the Walker County Sheriff’s Office at 435-2400.
