The 12th Annual Walker County Emergency Personnel Appreciation Dinner is scheduled for Saturday, August 3rd, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Walker County Storm Shelter on Highway 75 North.
Traditionally, the dinner is prepared by Usta Kould Kookers and served by Walker County and City of Huntsville elected officials.
Admission is free to the public to attend this event which will allow the residents of Walker County to come out and show their appreciation and gratitude for those who place their lives on the lines each day for them, their families, their neighbors and their businesses. Those wishing to join the honorees for dinner may purchase a meal ticket at the door. The cost for the meal is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12.
Each year local businesses as well as individuals share the expense of this special occasion by being table sponsors. The tax deductible sponsorship is $250 and includes two meal tickets for the sponsor and eight meal tickets for honorees that will join the sponsor for dinner.
