The Grammy Awards have not even started. And yet
so much glam has already hit the red carpet. About 381 carats of it are around Carrie
Underwood
‘s neck. “It’s heavy on my soul. I think it’s 381 carats. It’s worth more than me,” Underwood said of her diamond
necklace. Her dress — a black strapless Roberto Cavalli — was the perfect accent to the necklace. “I thought sticking with
something kind of classic glam would be good tonight,” she said. She also took the time on the carpet to tell the world about
her tour opener Hunter Hayes, who is nominated for three Grammys. “He
is incredibly talented and mature and just one to watch for many, many years,” she said. “I’m gonna be opening for him someday.”

Miranda Lambert, also in black Roberto Cavalli, needed help understanding
the Grammy Awards alleged dress code for the show. (A memo was sent out forbidding any puffy bare skin, buttocks, breasts,
bare fleshy under curves, thongs and see-through clothing.) Lambert said, “The thing they sent out, it was it was like, ‘Don’t
show your side boob and puffy skin.’ What is that?” She touched her chest and said, “Puffy. I didn’t get the memo.”

Taylor Swift was there in a cream J. Mendel and nails she painted herself.
She is opening the show and seemed uncharacteristically anxious. “I hope it’s decent. I hope that I don’t nerve out,” she
said. “Opening up the Grammys is something I’ve never done before and never dreamed I’d get to do.”
