Flags Fly at Half-Staff Today for Sgt. Virgil LaRue

The City of Huntsville was granted permission by Governor Perry’s office to fly flags at half-staff today in honor of Sgt. Virgil LaRue, a WWII veteran and survivor of the Bataan Death March. Sgt. LaRue was a local resident for several years. He passed away in Huntsville on Tuesday, October 1st. Tom and Connie LaRue, a son and daughter-in-law, also live in Huntsville.
