Texas health officials confirm six deaths from H1N1 in the Houston area. The four deaths at Conroe Regional Medical Center are included in this number.
In Harris, Jefferson, and Montgomery counties at least 14 people are reported critically ill. This also includes those in Conroe.
In a conference call Thursday, regional health officials discussed the cases. The officials suspect the cases in Conroe are H1N1, formerly known as “swine flu.”
Doctors in the region are collaborating to put together a profile of the cases, so they know what to look for.
