According to U-S Attorney Kenneth Magidson, on Tuesday former Huntsville resident, 20-year-old Reed C. LeBlanc, pled guilty to distribution of child pornography. U-S District Judge Nancy Atlas accepted LeBlanc’s guilty plea and has set his sentencing for January 14th.

LeBlanc faces a possible prison sentence of 5 to 20 years and a possible $250,000 fine.

The investigation began when a federal agent with the FBI’s New York field office made several downloads of child pornography via the internet that were traced to LeBlanc’s computer. A forensic exam of a computer seized from his home in 2012 showed 82 images and 33 videos of child pornography.

LeBlanc remains in custody pending his hearing.
