Former TDCJ Escapee Dies

Published on November 15, 2013 by Larry Crippen

Officials from TDCJ say an inmate, who escaped and evaded capture for a week in 2009, has died of apparent natural causes.

Fifty-three-year-old Arcade Comeaux told officials in the Clements Unit in Amarillo that he was experiencing shortness of breath Tuesday. He eventually passed out and died, while attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.

An autopsy is scheduled, but foul play is not suspected.
