Wednesday night, 23-year-old Michael Briock of Galveston was charged with evading arrest with a vehicle and criminal mischief following a dead-end chase down Old Houston Road. During a traffic stop, Briock took-off down the street in his vehicle after he told HPD Officer Aaron Tullar he didn’t have his license with him.
Briock’s Chrysler was trapped after crashing through the gate of a storage building on Old Houston Road. Briock told the officer his name was Steven Sanchez. However, at the Walker County Jail it was discovered the man was Michael Briock who was wanted on a parole warrant.
Officers also saw a passenger in the vehicle, 26-year-old Jacob Mossey of Galveston, throw something out of the vehicle when it took-off from the scene. The item thrown out was found to be drugs, so Mossey was was charged with possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
Other passengers arrested who were in the vehicle that evening, include 23-year-old Patrick Gibbons of Huntsville taken into custody on municipal warrants, and 22-year-old Brittany Wise of Huntsville who is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
