HISD Board of Trustees Meets Tonight

The HISD Board of Trustees will get together for a regular meeting at six this evening at the Huntsville High School.

Tonight the board will recognize the accomplisments of various students and staff.

Tonight’s “Consent Agenda” includes approval of the 2013 to 2015 Bank Depository Contract, the Seamless Summer Child Nutrition Program for 2013, and a report on HISD Monthly Discipline.

In regard to the 2013 Bond Election, the Board will adopt an order canvassing returns and declaring results.

They will also consider approval of the agreement with the Boys and Girls Club of Walker County for the 2013-14 school year, the 2013-14 Tuition Rate of Out-of-District Students, and the Emergency Operations Plan.

Board members will hear the School Health Advisory Council Report.

HISD Superintendent Dr. Steve Johnson will present a legislative and K though 12 schools update.

The HISD Board will hold two closed sessions–one regarding personnel matters and another for the purpose of conducting a Level III parent/student complaint.
