HISD Board of Trustees Meets Tonight

The HISD Board of Trustees will meet for a regular session this evening at six.

Tonight’s “Consent Agenda” includes the acceptance of bids for music supplies and instruments, counseling supplies and equipment, and Career Tech Supplies. Also on the same agenda, Trustees will consider approval of various board policies, an interlocal agreement with the City to buy a vehicle, Region VI Education Service Center contracts, the Student Code of Conduct, the 2013-14 Compensation Plan, a Shared Services Agreement with Brazos Valley Regional Day School for the Deaf, Educational Products and Services Agreement with K12 for the operaton of Virtual School in partnership with K12 and SHSU, and a waiver to Texas Education Agency for operation of a Virtual Full Time School and 2013-14 State Accountability Assessment.

The Board will hear annual program evaluations of Bilingual Education, the Advanced Academics/Gifted Talented Program, and Career and Technical Education.

The Board will also hear Campus Plans for 2013-14 Executive Summaries.

There will be a Transportation Update, and Superintendent Johnson will file his report.
