Huntsville ISD Reports Incidents at Huntsville High School Huntsville, Texas—December 11, 2013
In an effort to share information related to the events at Huntsville High School occurring on December
10th and 11th, please read the facts below:
On Tuesday, December 10, 2013, there were a total of five separate incidents at HHS. Two were fights as
defined by the district disciplinary code. Three were classified as confrontations since no blows were

A staff member was treated and released for injuries sustained as a result of one of the incidents. At no
time were any weapons involved in any of Tuesday’s incidents.

a particular student might have brought a weapon to school today. Administrators quickly responded
and brought that student into administrative custody for investigation whereupon it was determined that
the student did have a BB gun inside of his backpack. Appropriate disciplinary action was taken.
At no point over the past two days has HHS been on “lockdown.” However, Mega Lunch was cut short
both days in response to the events. Please know that all appropriate steps are being taken to ensure the
safety of all students at HHS. The safety of our students and staff is, and will remain, our primary
