Huntsville Man Arrested For Child Porn

Published on March 21, 2013 by Larry Crippen

The Huntsville Police Department recently arrested a 26-year-old Huntsville man on charges of Possession of Child Pornography.

Andrew James Klovensky was arrested March 12th after HPD Detective David Johnson discovered several photographs on the suspect’s cell phone depicting what appeared to be children – persons under the age of 18 – engaging in sexual behavior.

If convicted, Klovensky could face between two and 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 dollars.

According to HPD Chief Kevin Lunsford, the department utilized Cellbrite – a type of equipment which enables law enforcement agencies to read information on cell phones – in an ongoing sexual assault investigation, and it was during this process that the photographs were located on Klovensky’s phone.
