Published on May 13, 2013 by Larry Crippen

June 25th, 46-year-old TDCJ prison inmate John Ray Falk, Jr., accused of being a party to capital murder in the 2007 death of TDCJ correctional officer Susan Canfield, will return to the Brazos County Courthouse to be tried again. Last January Judge Kenneth Keeling declared a mistrial in the case following a 55-day stay in the proceedings, while an appeals motion was presented in two appeals courts in the state.

Judge Keeling recused himself from the case following the mistrial. Senior District Judge John Delaney has been appointed to replace him.
