Library Hosts Short Story Writing Contest

Published on November 04, 2013 by Larry Crippen

To celebrate November as National Novel Writing Month, the Huntsville Public Library will host a short story writing contest. People of all ages are encouraged to submit a family friendly short story between 500 and 5,000 words. The stories will be compiled and published into a book to be added to the Library’s collection. A raffle ticket will be awarded for each submission. Four copies of the book will be raffled off, upon the completion of the contest. All submissions must be typed, with digital versions recommended. Submissions will not be edited. The contest will run through December 2nd.  For more information, questions, or to turn in submissions, contact Janelle Valera at 936-291-5910/ jvalera@huntsvilletx.gov or Tosha Gibbs, at 936-291-5472/ tgibbs@huntsvilletx.gov.
