Published on April 22, 2013 by Larry Crippen

In Walker County’s Precinct #2 which includes Elkins Lake and parts of Highway 30, the Citizens for Economic Growth is promoting the legalization of all alcoholic beverage sales. The group filed the necessary paperwork with the County April 2nd.

Citizens for Economic Growth needs 35 percent of registered voters who voted in the last gubernatorial race in order to have a valid petition.

Those interested can sign petitions at Tinsley’s Chicken on Highway 30, City Hall Cafe on FM 1791, and the Shell Station on Highway 30.
