Local Government Offices & Facilities Closed for Holiday

The City of Huntsville Offices will be closed Monday September 2, 2013 in observance of the Labor Day Holiday. They will re-open as regular on Tuesday September 3, 2013.

The Huntsville Public Library will be closed from Saturday, August 31, through Monday, September 2, for Labor Day. The library will re-open on Tuesday, September 3, at 10:30 AM.

The City of Huntsville Solid Waste Services Division will run regular residential and commercial garbage pick-up routes on Monday, September 2, 2013, Labor Day. The Solid Waste Transfer Facility will also be open for business on Monday.

The Recycling Drop-Off Center, located at 590 IH-45 North, will be closed to the public on Monday, but will open as usual on Tuesday.

If you have any questions about the garbage collection, the Solid Waste Transfer Facility, or the Recycling Drop-Off Center, please call the Solid Waste Division at 936-294-5743.

Various County offices will also be closed during the Labor Day weekend.
