On Tuesday, September 17th, the Huntsville Police Department and the Walker County Sheriff’s Department conducted a joint narcotics operation resulting in the seizure of cash, drugs and drug paraphernalia, surveillance equipment and more.

The discovery resulted from the execution of a narcotics search warrant for 201 Elmwood, a private residence within the Forest Hills subdivision.

The Huntsville Police Department’s SWAT team, with assistance from members of Sam Houston State University Police Department’s SWAT team and the Walker County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team, served the search warrant.

HPD Lieutenant Jim Barnes said, “As a result of the operation, two individuals, 33-year-old Heath Sikes Wiley and 42-year-old Karen Jennifer White, were arrested and charged with manufacture-delivery of a controlled substance, which is a first degree felony.”

Lt. Barnes added, “As well, several illegal items, including ten grams of methamphetamine–numerous items of paraphernalia including smoking pipes, bags for resale, scales and hypodermic needles–currency and a surveillance camera system” were confiscated.

The City of Huntsville Code Enforcement Officials also responded due to the condition of the residence and issued several citations for building code violations.
