According to a report on KBTX Channel 3 in Bryan, A&M defensive lineman from Huntsville, Kirby Ennis, has been suspended from the team because of an arrest for misdemeanor disorderly conduct that police say involved a road rage incident in College Station.
College Station Police Officer Phil Dorsett said that, during the incident, “Both drivers got angry at each other, and then that ultimately led to the suspect pulling out a handgun and displaying it to the calling party.”
According to Ennis the car he was driving was his girlfriend’s, and he was attempting to move the gun she’d left in the car. Police believe the story to be inconsistent.
According to A&M Athletics Director Alan Cannon, Ennis is “suspended from all team activities pending further investigation.” Kirby was released on a $2,000 dollar bond.
