Published on August 22, 2013 by Larry Crippen

Local land surveyor and Huntsville High School and SHSU graduate, Paul Knox, will be running for a place on the Huntsville City Council in November.

A Huntsville native, Knox served as a Walker County Commissioner for five-and-a-half years and was on the city council with Mayor Morris Waller for three-and-a-half years.

While he served Huntsville, several projects were completed–City Hall, Fire Station #2, the current jail, Huntsville Memorial Hospital, and various streets like Lake Road, Sycamore Avenue, and Normal Park. Owner of his own land-surveying company, he works in real estate part-time. His company built over 250 homes in the area.

Mr. Knox holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in mathematics and served as a professor for 15 years.
