In Huntsville Police news, on the day shift last Saturday a handgun was found in the 900 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway and turned into police.

On Saturday’s night shift, in the 300 block of Highway 75 North a known subject was detained for a mental health evaluation. In the 2700 block of Montgomery Road, a victim reported that she was assaulted by multiple suspects.

On the night shift Sunday, in the 100 block of I-45 South a possibly known suspect used a credit card without consent and forged a check. Police were called to the 1600 block of 10th Street where two victims were assaulted by a known suspect and an unknown accomplice. In the 1300 block of Avenue B, a juvenile was detained for aggravated assault in family violence with a deadly weapon.

On Monday’s night shift, a suicide was investigated at a motel room in the 100 block of I-45 South. A known woman, whose name is being witheld, was found dead. Foul play is not believed to be involved, and the cause of death has not been released.
