In Huntsville Police news, on Friday’s day shift in the 800 block of Ryans Ferry Road one roommate assaulted another causing serious injury. A vehicle burglary was investigated in the 1400 block of Sam Houston Avenue. In the 100 block of I-45 South, a purse was stolen and a wallet stolen in two separate incidents. A gas drive-off was reported in the 2300 block of Sam Houston Avenue.

On the day shift Saturday, in the 600 block of Hayman a 20-year-old man was arrested for evading arrest with previous convictions and possession of marijuana.

On the night shift Saturday a vehicle burglary was investigated in the 2600 block of El Toro–entry was forced.

On Sunday’s night shift, at a traffic stop at the intersection of Cline Street and Hayman a wallet was found. At the same address a 30-year-old woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and for an outstanding warrant.  Police were dispatched to an assault in the 2400 block of Montgomery Road.

On the day shift Monday, a 36-year-old woman was arrested during a traffic stop at Old Colony Road and El Road for failure to I-D and possession of drug paraphernalia.  She was also served with an outstanding warrant for DWI.
