In Huntsville Police news on the day shift Wednesday, at the intersection of State Highway 19 and Old Colony Road a vehicle struck a horse–the driver wasn’t injured. In an accident at I-45 South and Veterans Memorial Parkway, a motorcycle struck a deer–the driver was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital by Life Flight. Police were called to the 1600 block of Sycamore Avenue in reference to an unknown suspect using a victim’s credit card number to make purchases without permission. In the 2600 block of El Toro, a known suspect committed assault causing injury. A vehicle burglary was investigated in the 800 block of Avenue C–entry was forced. And, at the corner of State Highway 19 and Old Colony Road,a 22-year-old woman was arrested for possession of marijuana, and a 27-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Wednesday’s night shift, a gas drive-off was reported in the 1900 block of Sycamore. At the intersection of 10th Street and University, a 39-year-old man was arrested for DWI and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
