In Huntsville Police news, on Monday’s day shift a residential burglary and assault was investigated in the 200 block of Blalock Street. In the 2700 block of Montgomery Road, an unknown person damaged a person’s vehicle in a possible attempt to steal it.

In the 2500 block of Lake Road, the complainant’s medication was stolen by a known person.

On Tuesday’s day shift, unknown persons stole property from two vehicles in the 100 block of Varsity Drive.

On the night shift Tuesday, entry was forced and items were stolen in a residence in the 500 block of Palm Street. Marijuana was found in the 400 block of MLK Jr. Boulevard and taken to HPD. In the 800 block of Adams Drive, a large amount of drugs was seized and taken to the Police Department.

On the day shift Wednesday, police were dispatched to the 200 block of FM 2821 West in the case of a known person suspected of forging money orders. A 60-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at the corner of Boettcher Drive and Sam Houston Avenue.
