Huntsville property developer Ben Bius addressed the Huntsville City Council last night in regard to his plan to bring a Hobby Lobby and Goodwill store to the old Wal-Mart building.
He outlined an incentives plan he hoped the City would agree to that would make the project more economically feasible . . . .
Bius said the companies are interested in having the stores open before the Christmas shopping season.
At the session, local business owner Dan Slater objected to an incentive plan for Bius’s project because he felt it was unfairly giving financial help to a competitor.
The council will take the matter under consideration in the future.
