The renovation and repairs to Fire Station No. 2 in Huntsville is moving along well.
At this week’s council session, Fire Chief Tom Grisham reports the drainage issues they’ve been having have been fixed . . . .
Chief Grisham also reported that kitchen appliances have been purchased at a discount. All the cabling is installed. The lighting is 95 percent completed. The kitchen cabinets were donated by McCoys. The showers are being worked on. The fire sprinkler plans have been submitted to the building official for approval.
Grisham said they’re “still looking at maybe the end of January, first of February” when they should have the station complete. And, they are still under budget. He thanked all the people that volunteered their help from the City and otherwise.
