Sheriff’s Office Conducts Drug Bust

Following a lengthy undercover narcotics investigation, the Walker County Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant which was executed on May 14th for a residence located in the 40 block of Cyntolyn in Walker County. Upon execution of the search warrant, officers located approximately 3 ounces of Methamphetamine, 1 ½ pounds of marijuana, a quantity of prescription medications as well as one firearm that was confirmed as stolen from San Jacinto County. Officers also located numerous items of suspected stolen property.

The value of the methamphetamine is approximately $7,600 dollars.  The marijuana was valued at approximately $1,500 dollars.

The resident of the home searched, 49-year-old David Wayne Choate, was arrested and charged with two counts of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, delivery of marijuana, and theft of a firearm.
