Published on September 09, 2013 by Larry Crippen

Law enforcement authorities in Spring are looking into a disturbance Sunday night outside a memorial for 17-year-old Spring High School student Joshua Broussard who died as the result of a stabbing at the high school last week.

The disturbance, outside Spring Baptist Church, began when alleged members of the Brown Pride Gang were escorted out of the church. Up to eight gunshots were reported to have been fired when a melee began in the parking lot area.

There are no reports of injuries or arrests. According to witnesses, as many as 40 people were involved in the incident.
