SHSU MIA/POW Remembrance Ceremony

The SHSU Bearkat Battalion had an MIA-POW Remembrance Ceremony outside the Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum Friday morning.

The ceremony was emceed by SHSU Military Chair Lt. Col. Rob McCormick. Melvin White VFW Post #587 Commander David Lanoue was the guest speaker.

In the morning ceremony, the MIA/POW flag was raised . . . .


Commander Lanoue said, “We still have 83,343 Prisoners of War/Missing in Action personnel unaccounted for from World War I to our current efforts in Afghanistan.”
