Tools Stolen from Phoenix Commotion

Published on October 15, 2013 by Larry Crippen

Thieves have stolen approximately $4,000 in construction tools from a Phonex Commotion building site. The tools are used to build homes with recycled and salvaged materials to drive down costs so low-income families can afford to buy their own homes.

The tools were stolen from a trailer in the 1000 block of Eighth Street between 3 last Wednesday afternoon and 8 AM Thursday. Tools stolen include a Makita compressor, Dewalt chop saw, Nail Kikker, and an Echo chain saw.

If you have old tools you can donate, or money, those wishing to help can drop them off at the job site at 1019 Eighth Street between 8 AM and 3 PM Monday through Friday.

If you have information about the theft, call the Huntsville Police Department at 291-5480 or Crime Stoppers at 294-9494. You may remain anonymous if you call Crime Stoppers.
