Walker County Sheriff Clint McCrae has reported to the media that his office is still awaiting test results on evidence from two locations outside of our county that may possibly have a connection to the July 24th double murder of 55-year-old Shanta Faye Crawford and her 18-month-old grandson Aiyden Benjamin Lewis.
Two weeks ago, the evidence was sent to FBI and DPS crime labs for analysis.
The Sheriff reports that they have not gotten much back at this time. The wait-time may be from six months to a year to receive some of the results. He says his investigators, however, continue to follow-up on leads and evaluate evidence.
The identity of possible suspects, or the cause of the deaths, have as of yet not been released.
