Wednesday Morning Stabbing Victim Now in Stable Condition

Wednesday morning Huntsville Police and emergency medical services responded to a stabbing at a residence on Highway 190 near the Sycamore Avenue intersection.

The victim has been described as a middle-aged Hispanic woman who was stabbed multiple times. She was lifeflighted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, and her condition has been upgraded to stable.

An emergency medical call is reported to have come from a relative of the woman a little before 9 AM Wednesday. Emergency responders found the victim in the residence not long afterward suffering from stab wounds.

HPD is following up on leads regarding possible suspects and will continue to work on the case over the weekend.
