City Council Meets Tonight

The Huntsville City Council meets for a regular session tonight at six at City Hall.

Tonight’s “Consent Agenda” includes authorizing the City Manager to accept funding from the Department of Criminal Justice Bulletproof Vest Program in the amount of $7,325 in grant funds with a match in the same amount and the awarding of a one-year contract for water and wastewater supplies maintained in the City of Huntsville warehouse.

Tonight’s “Statutory Agenda” features possible action on adoption of a resolution to redeem the remaining aggregate $440,000 on the Series 2004 Certificates of Obligation and possible action on the adoption of an ordinance to amend the Fiscal Year 13-14 budget and the Capital Improvement Projects budget.

Mayor Woodward will discuss possibly taking action on the approval of nominations for City boards, committees and commissions. He will also discuss taking possible action on the budget process.

The City Manager or department directors may file reports on various City activities.

Tonight there will be a presentation for possible action on a request from Walter Johnson for the City Council to consider a sagging pants ordinance.
