Published on February 04, 2014 by Larry Crippen

Thirty-two-year-old David Robert Sprung of Bryan was arrested by HPD officers Sunday morning after coming to Huntsville to meet with what he thought was an underage girl.

Unbeknownst to Sprung Saturday, the young girl he thought he was chatting with in an online chatroom was HPD officer Wade Roberts. Their chat evolved into an explicit one and a meeting was arranged in Huntsville Sunday. When Sprung arrived in Huntsville, HPD placed him under arrest.

At last report, Sprung was in the Walker County Jail on $100,000 bond charged with the third-degree felony of online solicitation of a minor.
