City Council Holds Regular Session Tonight

The Huntsville City Council will meet for a regular session this evening at six at City Hall.

Tonight’s “Consent Agenda” includes adoption of an ordinance amending the Fiscal Year 13-14 budget for Capital Improvement Projects and the authorization of the City Manager to accept a Houston-Galveston Area Council Municipal Solid Waste Grant for $22,500 with a $2,500 match.

Tonight’s “Statutory Agenda” includes discussion and possible action on a contract for the design and contract administration of way-finding signage for the City of Huntsville and the “First Reading” of an ordinance amending Chapter 14 of Business and Business Regulations regarding Pawnbrokers in regard to changing the hours of operation of pawnshops.

During tonight’s City Manager report, Matt Benoit or department directors may update the council on various department activities.
