City Council Meets Tonight

The Huntsville City Council will meet this evening at six at City Hall.

Tonight there will be an employee appreciation from SAAFE House.

On tonight’s “Statutory Agenda,” Director of Community and Economic Development Aron Kulkhavy will discuss possible action on a task order per a General Services Agreement from 2013 with McClure and Browne Engineering and Surveying for engineering design services for the Smith Hill Road 12-inch waterline replacement and extension. Director of Public Works Carol Reed will present a first reading on an ordinance updating the Municipal Code Chapter 38 on Solid Waste residential service.

During tonight’s Mayor/City Council/City Manager/City Attorney Report, Councilmember Allen will make a presentation for possible action on a proposed easement acquisition policy. City Manager Leonard Schneider will present a first reading denying the Entergy rate increase request. City Manager Matt Benoit may also file a report on City activities.
