The Huntsville City Council will hold a regular session at City Hall at six this evening.
Tonight’s “Consent Agenda” includes adoption of an ordinance denying the Entergy rate increase request and approving a recommended settlement and authorizig the City Manager to submit an application to H-GAC for a Homeland Security Grant for $77,500.
Tonight’s “Statutory Agenda” includes the first reading to consider awarding a bid for the East Mosely Lane Reconstruction project. There will also be a first-reading to consider authorizing the City Manager to purchase one Pierce Impel 75-foot Custom Cab Ladder Truck and equipment for the Fire Department for $715,000. Also on the “Statutory Agenda,” councilmembers will consider entering in a 380 agreement with Kroger Texas, accepting the award for the FEMA cost overrun for the Community Safe Room and authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with J-R Miller and Associates for a Transfer Station Feasibility Study and Conceptual Design.
The Council also tonight will discuss an ordinance authorizing participation with other Entergy service area cities in matters concerning the company at the Public Utility Commission and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The Council will discuss the adoption of the Mayor and City Council’s 2014 Strategic Plan.
City Manager Matt Benoit may also update various City activities.
