At this week’s regular session of County Commissioners, IT Director Cheryl Morris recommended a way to save money and improve security at the courthouse and Annex . . . .

The estimated cost would be about $1,500 to install cabling and a possible $500 expense for labor to mount cameras She said they already have the disc drive storage space available and the software. Commissioners approved the use of the cameras contingent on the eventual disposition of the old jail building.
