Commissioners’ Court Meets

Walker County Commissioners will meet this morning at nine at the courthouse.

On today’s “Consent Agenda,” are transfers of several surplus items–a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria to Road and Bridge Precinct #1 and to Precinct #3 and a surplus Del Optiplex 980 computer to the Walker County Historical Commission. Also on the “Consent Agenda,” is the sale of a surplus 2010 ford Crown Victoria to HISD for one dollar.

County Auditor Patricia Allen will discuss approval of payment to the new County Jail construction company Sedalco forĀ  $387,303 and to Burns Architecture for $19,250.

County Treasurer Sharon Duke will talk about the approval of the Investment Policy for Walker County.

Purchasing Director Mike Williford will discuss approval of several issues related to the Frisbee Landing water well project.

Planning & Development Director Andy Isbell will talk about final approval and/ or payment for the Courthouse Plaza Project.

Commissioners will also consider items related to the creation of a County Energy Transportation Reinvestment Zone.
