Commissioners’ Court Meets

Walker County Commissioners will meet this morning at nine at the courthouse.

County Treasurer Sharon Duke wlll discuss approving the County Treasurer setting up a branch depository bank in Riverside for use by Justice of the Peace Precinct #3.

County Purchasing Agent Mike Williford will discuss for approval renewal of a Walker County Interlocal Agreement with Taylor County for pharmaceuticals for July 1st, 2014 through June 30th, 2015 and approval of an additional $1,600 for one -time budgeted funds request approved in court april 28th for computer equipment for EMS.

Walker County Judge Danny Pierce will talk about approval of an HGAC Leaf-Pro Environmental Program Grant for the Master Gardeners for $24,000.

And, Commissioners will hold a “Budget Workshop” where they will discuss financial policies, Certified Values and Effective Tax Rate, the proposed budget to be filed with the County Clerk on or before July 31st, and a proposed schedule for required public hearings and postings for the fiscal year October 1st, 2014 through September 30, 2015.
