Commissioners’ Court Meets For Budget Workshop

Walker County Commissioners will meet for a special session this morning at nine at the courthouse to begin a Budget Workshop.

Today, Commissioners will hear budget requests beginning with Constable Precinct #4, then Purchasing, the Sheriff’s Office, the County Jail, Emergency Management, the D-A’s Office, Justice of the Peace Precinct #4, J-P Precinct #3, J-P Precinct #2, Constable Precinct #2, the County Clerk and Crabb’s Prairie Volunteer Fire Department.

Tomorrow morning beginning at nine, Commissioners will hear budget requests for the YMCA, the New Waverly Volunteer Fire Department, EMS District #2, the Boys & Girls Club, Maintenance, Information Technology, Planning & Development and Tri-County Services.

Also at today’s “Special Session,” County Commissioners will discuss the approval of the use of the Storm Shelter for the Senior Center annual fund raiser at a reduced rate or no fee and the possible approval of a Contract Addendum #1 with Johnson & Pace for the Frisbee’s Landing Project for $3,890 to be paid by Frisbee’s Landing.
