Commissioners Court Meets This Morning

Walker County Commissioners Court meets this morning at nine at the courthouse for a regular session.

District Clerk Robin Flowers will discuss the Records Preservation Project and the purchase of associated equipment.

Emergency Medical Services Coordinator John Nabors will talk about approval of the Huntsville Memorial Charity – Walker County Program Participating Provider Services Agreement and HIPAA business Associate Agreement. He will discuss approving enrollment for the printing option offered by the insurance clearinghouse and approval of an agreement with Jacobs Engineering Group for use of property for aerial mapping.

Emergency Management Director Butch Davis will bring up for discussion and approval an Interlocal Cooperation Act Agreement between the County and Liberty County for short-term shelter during a mandatory evacuation. He will also deliver an update on the Emergency Management Facebook page.

County Auditor Patricia Allen will discuss approval of payment to the Jail construction company Sedalco in reference to Application #17, for $53,900, for the period to April 30, 2014 from budgeted funds.

Purchasing Director Mike Williford will discuss with Commissioners replacement of a 5-ton air conditioner at JP4 to be paid from contingency funds. Mr. Williford will also seek approval of selling surplus Dell PC’s to the New Waverly School District.

Judge Danny Pierce will talk about approval of office space for the Salvation Army.

Judge Pierce will also discuss with commissioners approving a pay increase of $100 per month for EMS Director John Nabors, retroactive from October 1, 2007 forward, to be paid from currently budgeted funds and rescind action taken on agenda item #28 on March 24th, 2014.
