Commissioners Meet

Walker County Commissioners meet for a regular session at nine this morning at the Courthouse.

Walker County Sheriff’s Office Operations Captain Tim Whitecotton will discuss for approval an Interlocal Agreement between the County and the City for the 2014 Justice Assistance Grant Program Award.

In reference to the Special Prosecution Unit, Administrative Assistant Sonja Tennant will talk about approval of a Memorandum of Administrative Clerk Service Agreement.

County Auditor Patricia Allen will discuss the Budget Planning Calendar and Commissioners’ Court priorities for the upcoming fiscal year.

Purchasing Agent Mike Williford and Communications Director Les Metzler will talk about approval of disconnecting land line circuits no longer used for radio communication.

Williford will also discuss a proposal from an engineering company for mechanical and building enclosure investigations and repair at the Sheriff’s office from contingency funds.

County Judge Danny Pierce will discuss approval of office space for the Salvation Army. He will also discuss approval of a real estate lease with Walker County Community Agency. The judge will also look at approval of an Interlocal Agreement between the City and County for Jail Services and Utility Services.
