Commissioners Move Forward On Road Repair Grants

Published on June 11, 2014 by Larry Crippen

In a continuing session of Commissioners’ Court Tuesday morning, commissioners heard from GrantWorks representative Mirenda Harris-White who is advising them of the remaining steps in the County Transportation Infrastructure Fund Grant Program to help with repairing roads affected by oil and gas production vehicles.

She filled them in on what paperwork and funding was ahead . . . .

She said the grant will eventually be split between the four County Precincts. Each precinct provides an $8,023 match. Initially, each precinct is granted $80,230 a piece. Following labor, equipment, and a 6% delivery fee, each precinct will have $75,416 to work with.

Commissioners will now be working on various formalities and paperwork and then will meet with GrantWorks Mirenda Harris-White again in regard to the grant matter on Wednesday, June 18th at 1:30 PM.
