Council Discusses Consultant Fees

Published on September 03, 2014 by Larry Crippen

At Tuesday night’s council session, much of the discussion centered on how much to spend on consultants to guide the City in space assessments of various buildings and on design issues of the Davidson Wastewater plant. About $1.3 million overall for consultants is planned for the work. Bond elections in regard to the expenditure wouldn’t actually take place until 2018 and 2019.

Councilmember Allen raised his specific objection to the issue . . . .

Councilmember Emmett also took issue with outside consultants on various projects . . . .

Mayor Mac Woodward passed along his overall view of the study, design and implementation approach to the issue at hand . . . .

Spending for the decision package for assessments was approved by the council.
